Half Moon Run/ Moonrise kingdom

My boyfriend introduced me this song yesterday, and I thought the video was very creative and the song has lots of energy! It reminds me of the movie- Moonrise Kingdom, where 2 kids fell in love and tried to escape the island. It's a pretty cute movie and a little corky. I think it has a very artistic approach everything is very thought out, music, fonts, fashion...really enjoyed it when I watched it.

When I first heard Lana's music I thought she was very unique, and it keeps growing on me! It was when I tried to understand her lyrics then i really know what's going on in her songs.

Shopping and girls date
Did some shopping today finally first time in 2013! Found this sweater for $50, and boots on sale for $80 from Topshop. Also got my nails painted plum purple, good day. 
Found this cute cafeteria place right outside of granville skytrain called foodwares market- I have passed by many times and it just looked white and clean, this time I finally got a chance to grab a california salad with tuna for $5.99. Pretty Yummy and convenient :)

Jessie Ware + SBTRKT
Jessie Ware is a UK singer, one of my favourites right now. Her glamour and soulful voice made me fall in love with her right away, It makes me want to be like her.

Tableau Vivant
Hello :)
We were introduced to "Tableau Vivant" which means living picture in my performance class, Adad Hannah has series of them referring to art historical paintings .
Such as A Vulgar Picture in 2010, there is a photograph and a video as well which the characters had to hold a pose for certain amount of time. I found this very interesting and unique process of making a piece of work.
For our class exercise we were asked to produced a Tableau Vivant self portrait, and we had to use objects as props to tell the story and hold our pose for 2 minutes. Since my practice involves Art and Design I decided to make a minimal piece where A woman should always be classy and fabulous- Coco Chanel and the material for performance art is the body. So I sat on a plinth and looking fabulous to illustrate "My body is my Art".

Fujiya & Miyagi: Ankle Injuries
Fujiya & Miyagi: Ankle Injuries

I came across this yesterday reading IdN: vol 18, no.5 chinese edition, Fujiya & Miyagi is an English duo electronic band. For the music video, I love the flatness of 8 bit graphics that made up in pieces of dice, they are so interesting to look at and reminds me of old times when things aren't so 3D. It's a nice song too.
